Iranian filmmaker Khosrow Sinai honored by Ivory Coast’s embassy

Iranian filmmaker Khosro Sinai has been honored by Ivory Coast's embassy for his documentaries.

Iranian filmmaker Khosrow Sinai has been honored by the embassy of Ivory Coast for documentaries he made on prominent artists.

During the closing ceremony of an art exhibition organized by Ivory Coast in Tehran, the west African country’s embassy honored Sinai for the documentaries he made on Iranian artists such as Jazeh Tabatabai, Farah Osuli, Gizella Varga Sinai and Mohammad Ebrahim Jafari.

“Art can bridge the gap between nations and cultures,” Sinai said at the ceremony which was held at Tehran’s Contemporary and Modern Art Gallery (CAMA) and attended by Tamakolo Ouattara, the chargé d'affaires of Ivorian embassy.

He also hailed the exhibit as “one of the most attractive exhibitions I have seen over the past few years”.

The exhibition reportedly displayed a collection of 30 traditional African masks and 20 sculptures made by Ivorian artists.
